ABOUT Ingredients for Impact

Join popular author Kelsey Timmerman (Where am I Eating?, Where am I Wearing?), celebrity chef Malika Ameen (Top Chef: Just Desserts), and food consultant extraordinaire Clark Wolf for a fun and informative afternoon for food professionals and enthusiasts. Master of ceremonies, Clark Wolf, will guide us through the Fair Trade dilemma. After an introduction to the topic from Fair Trade USA, a grower will be Skyped/videoed to illustrate what Fair Trade has meant to them. Kelsey Timmerman will relate his adventures tracking down where our everyday food comes from and what Fair Trade does for growers in the developing world. Malika Ameen will demonstrate a scrumptious dessert recipe using Fair Trade ingredients. We will culminate in a panel discussion with principals from Fair Trade companies including TCHO, Equator Coffees and Teas, Numi Organic Tea, Three Twins Ice Cream, and Alter Eco Foods followed by a tasting of their products.
